Support Conditions Dialog

Setting	Description
Abutment/Pier	This drop-down list contains each of the support lines in the bridge. Select the desired support line to see the list of support conditions for that support line in the grid. Once in the grid, the support conditions can be edited for each member bearing.
Save DGN	The following button will export the Support Condition 2D model directly and accurately to Microstation DGN file format, including layers. Save the DGN file in the desired location and once the export is successful you can browse to file location and open/view in Microstation.
Member	This non-editable field will show the each member at that support along with its member group name.
Distance	This is the distance between members starting with Member 1. This field is not currently activated.
Absolute Distance	This is the cumulative distance between members. This field is not currently activated.
Support Type	Select the support type from the drop-down list: Pinned -- the support cannot move in any direction but is free to rotate. Roller -- the support can translate in the direction of the member longitudinal axis and is free to rotate. Fixed -- the support cannot translate or rotate in any direction. Float -- the support can translate in any direction except global Y and is free to rotate. See spring constant definitions below. Directional - this support is similar to the roller support but the direction of translation can be specified as an angle relative to the member longitudinal axis.
Angle	The angle is measured left/right relative to the member longitudinal axis. Directional support only.
KFX	Spring constant in the global X direction in k/ft. Directional and Float supports only.
KFZ	Spring constant in the global Z direction in k/ft. Float support only.
KMX	Rotational constant about the global X axis in k-ft/deg. Float support only.
KMY	Rotational constant about the global Y axis k-ft/deg. Float support only.
KMZ	Rotational constant about the global Z axis k-ft/deg. Float support only.
OK	Press this button to save all edits and exit the dialog.
Cancel	Press this button to exit the dialog without saving changes.

Support Type

Select the support type from the drop-down list:

Pinned -- the support cannot move in any direction but is free to rotate.
Roller -- the support can translate in the direction of the member longitudinal axis and is free to rotate.
Fixed -- the support cannot translate or rotate in any direction.
Float -- the support can translate in any direction except global Y and is free to rotate. See spring constant definitions below.
Directional - this support is similar to the roller support but the direction of translation can be specified as an angle relative to the member longitudinal axis.

Angle

KFX

Spring constant in the global X direction in k/ft. Directional and Float supports only.

KFZ
